Vedic chant on Lord Shiva (Lord Rudra).
The Chamakam essentially asks God for fulfillment of wishes. The repeated phrase, 'cha me' literally means, "and to me [be this granted]", accompanied by lists of desirables.

ABOUT:
~~~~~~
Dakshinamurthy (Dakshinamurti) is an aspect of Lord Shiva. Dakshinamurti literally means 'one who is facing the south'. In every Shiv temple, the image of Dakshinamurthy is installed facing the southern direction.
In this form, Lord Shiva is depicted seated under a banyan tree, facing the south. He is seated upon a deer-throne and surrounded by sages receiving his instructions. He is generally shown with four arms.
Dakshinamurthy is portrayed as being in the yogic state of abstract meditation - and as a powerful form brimming with ever flowing bliss and supreme joy.
⁣Shlokas of a complete Shiva Puja, recited by Pandit R P Kimothi.
Lord Shiva resides at his abode of Mount Kailash, with Devi Durga. They have two sons, Kartikeya and Ganesh. The Shiva family includes his devotee Bhringi and the bull Nandi, which is also Shiva's vehicle.
According to the Vedic texts, a complete puja of Lord Shiva is performed only when the whole Shiva family is included in the puja. Hence, this puja album includes the ganesh-ambika puja and the shiv parivaar puja. The album also includes the shodash upchaar puja and the shiv ashtottar shat naamavali (108 names of Lord Shiva). This is followed by the panch vaktra puja which is the puja of the five constituents of Lord Shiva as mentioned above. The album ends with a prayer for forgiveness to Lord Shiva.
⁣Rudrashtadhyayi - Chapter 3
Lord Shiva is also called 'Rudra', because He has the capacity to destroy all our sorrows. The method of doing a puja of Lord Shiva in the Rudra form has been prescribed in the Yajurveda; the collection of these mantra is called the Rudra Ashtaadhyaayi. The benefits of performing this puja are peace, prosperity, progeny, good health and deep devotion of Lord Shiva. Rudri puja consists of the following parts:
The first chapter contains verses in praise of Lord Ganesha. These mantras are also called the, Shiva Sankalpa Sookta.
The second chapter contains the verses in praise of Lord Vishnu. The first sixteen mantras are also called the, Purush Sookta. The next six mantras are called the Uttara Narayan Sookta.
The third chapter has verses in praise of Lord Indra. These mantras are also called the, Apratiratha Sookta. These mantras are used for gaining victory over enemies.
The fourth chapter contains seventeen verses in praise of Lord Surya (Sun God). These mantras are also called the, Maitri Sookta.
The fifth chapters contains one hundred names of Lord Rudra and verses in praise of Lord Rudra. This chapter has sixty-six mantras and is also called the, Shat-Rudriya. This is one of the main chapters and is used for purification of oneself. This chapter is also called the Rudra Sookta. Since most of the mantras in this chapter start with namaha this chapter is also called the namakam chapter.
The sixth chapter is called the Mahachhir. This chapter contains the famous Mahamrityunjaya mantra and is a chapter in praise of Lord Shiva in the Mrityunjaya form. In this we pray to Lord Shiva for a long and a healthy life, free from disease and sorrow, and a peaceful end to our earthly life.
The seventh chapter is called the Jataa. The verses in this chapter are in praise of Lord Marut.
The eighth chapter is called the Chamakam. This is because most of the mantras end in the letters Chame. There are twenty-nine mantras in this chapter and are all dedicated to Lord Agni, the Fire God and the havan that is being performed.
The last chapter is called Shaantipaath which contains mantras chanted for peace and prosperity.
⁣Complete Shani Puja, recited by Pundit R P Kimothi.
ABOUT:
Shani, which is the planet Saturn, is one of the nine planets that are taken into account while casting a person's horoscope. As per Indian astrology, Shani is represented by the colour black, a lame person or a person doing menial jobs. Shani also represents the highest level of intellect, hard work, lawyers and statesmen. Thus, for a person to rise in life as a great lawyer or politician he must have the divine grace of Shani bestowed upon him/her. A well-placed Shani in the horoscope can give immense wealth and power to the person. A badly placed Shani in the horoscope, on the other hand, leads to abject poverty, ill health and disrepute.
Astrologically, the cycle of Shani is thirty years, which keeps repeating itself through a person's life. Hence, a person with a normal life span will probably go through two or three cycles of Shani. During every cycle, there is period of seven and a half years called the Saade Saati period which is generally a time of hardships. Indian astrologers seriously recommend regular puja of Shani during this period.
Shani is ruled by Lord Shiva in his Mahamrityunjaya form. Thus, when a person wishes to please Shani, he/she should do so by praying to the Mahamrityunjaya form of Lord Shiva. Whether it is done to mitigate the ill effects of a badly placed Saturn, or to enhance the benefits of a well placed one, Shani puja, should be performed every Saturday.
This album contains all the ingredients that are required for seeking the divine grace of Shani. The shani aavaran puja incorporates the 108 names of Shani. This is followed by the shani rakhsa stavam, which is a prayer to Shani asking for his protection. Next is the mahakaal shani mrityunjaya stotra which, according to the Purans, was a prayer composed and sung by King Dashrath, the father of Lord Rama. The album ends with the shani stavaraaj, the shani stotra, and a prayer for forgiveness.
