Indrakshi Stotram Slokas for Health

⁣Slokas for health and freedom from disease.

The Indrakshi Stotram is dedicated to the Indrakshi Durga from of Goddess Parvati, the consort of Shiva.

On a visit to Vaikuntha, Sage Narada asked Lord Narayana why 'devas' and 'asuras' were healthy while human beings suffered from numerous disease. Lord Narayana then told Narada that by reciting the Indrakshi Stothram, one can lead a life free from disease. Sage Narada taught this mantra to Indra, who taught it to Sage Purandara. Sage Purandara, in turn, popularized it among humans.
